Piers Morgan is a foreign national who has called for sweeping gun control and the wholesale violation of the 2nd Amendment. He has advocated this based on a perceived need to prevent gun crime. Obviously this is a ludicrous position. Guns were outlawed in Australia and murders, rapes, robberies and burglaries rose 300%. In China there has been an increasing amount of mass killings like those seen in Connecticut, but they have massive gun control. The murders are being committed with knives. The bottom line is that if someone wants to commit mass murder, they don’t need a gun to do it and, given a lack of guns, crime generally rises. I know that liberals like to sensationalize mass killings, and they like to use the resultant emotional frenzy as the rallying cry for misguided attempts to violate people’s rights and control others. That is what I would like to address.
Piers Morgan’s position that people should lose their constitutional rights is in direct contradiction to the Constitution. By the same token, the NRA’s call for Morgan’s deportation is just a heinous. This request for deportation has been made through the President’s “Democracy” website and has now garnered enough signatures to require Governmental consideration. The trouble is that this nation is being turned into a Democracy.
I know that many of you don’t understand why I would oppose Democracy, so let me be clear on the matter. Democracy is a form of Government where the will of the masses, whether from careful retrospective analysis or an emotional frenzy, is carried out regardless of morality, injury caused or social code. I know that many of you don’t think democracy is wrong, but it is akin to two wolves and a sheep voting on what to eat for dinner. Let me give a better example from our American history.
White Democrats regained political power in 1870 and started passing laws to stop black voting. Literacy tests were required for voter registration which not only blocked most blacks from voting, it also denied them the ability to serve on juries. These laws were being created for the purposes of denying people their rights and the majority of Americans were unwilling to hold these politicians to the Constitutional restraints they were violating. This created an environment where whites could kill blacks and blacks could not serve on juries to convict them. Democracy was hard at work oppressing blacks as the will of the masses created laws in violation of the constitution as a means of oppression. In case anyone doesn’t know, the civil rights movement was a Republican movement and white supremacy was a Democratic movement, but I digress. Let’s get to the point: a real demonstration of Democracy at work.
In a quiet field in the south, three blacks and a large groups of white Democrats gathered. There is a question that will be “voted” on this evening: whether the “uppity niggers” should be hanged. Shouts and threats rise like daggers from the crowd of white Democrats as the blacks try and seem non-threatening, hoping the emotions of the majority will give way to reason. It becomes very clear that the Democratic process is in place and a vote is being carried out. Majority rules as the blacks have ropes tied around their necks and they are hauled up into a tree to hang. Their bodies writhe as they slowly choke to death while being beat like piñatas by the yelling and cheering mob. Finally, the three young blacks die. The crowd abates now that Democratic mob justice has been served. This is the Democracy that our founding fathers feared.
Our founding fathers, after a great deal of research, concluded that Democracy would result in mass murder and revolution. They sometimes referred to Democracy as “mobocracy”. They created the United States as a Constitutional Republic that was to have Government severely restrained by the people enforcing the restraints of the Constitution. Here’s is what some have said on the matter of Democracy:
“Democracy... while it lasts is more bloody than either aristocracy or monarchy. Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.” [Author’s note: Democracy will eventual result in the oppressed minority fighting back against the oppressing majority]
~ John Adams
“When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic.” [Author’s note: The republic will fail and become a democracy when people find they can legalize theft through taxation and entitlement programs.]
~ Benjamin Franklin
“We are a Republican Government, Real liberty is never found in despotism or in the extremes of democracy...it has been observed that a pure democracy if it were practicable would be the most perfect government. Experience has proved that no position is more false than this. The ancient democracies in which the people themselves deliberated never possessed one good feature of government. Their very character was tyranny; their figure deformity.” [Author’s note: Democracy, while theoretically sound, deforms into oppression under majority rule]
~ Alexander Hamilton, The Federalist Papers
“A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where 51% of the people may take away the rights of the other 49%.” [Author’s note: Democracy will always result in the class warfare and demands for confiscatory taxation and redistribution that we have today.]
~ Thomas Jefferson
“Democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their death.” [Author’s note: Democracies are marked by demands that rights be denied (like the right of Morgan or gun owners) and property seized, much like the demands for confiscatory taxation and redistribution that we have today.]
~ James Madison
"The experience of all former ages had shown that of all human governments, democracy was the most unstable, fluctuating and short-lived." [Author’s note: Democracy has a clear and unwavering history of oppression and failure.]
~ John Quincy Adams
"Democracy was the right of the people to choose their own tyrant."
~ James Madison
"That the desires of the majority of the people are often for injustice and inhumanity against the minority, is demonstrated by every page of the history of the world." [Author’s Note: The majority has shown itself to be, throughout Democratic history, based on greed and a lack of morality]
~ John Adams
"Pure democracy cannot subsist long nor be carried far into the departments of state - it is very subject to caprice and the madness of popular rage."
~ John Witherspoon
"Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos."
~ John Marshall, Fourth Chief Justice of the United States
Barack Obama’s webpage of Democratic chaos (We the People) is Democracy at its finest. Among the petitions that have received enough signatures to be considered are:
- Dissolution of the United States due to Governmental violation of the Constitutional restraint of powers;
- Attack Westboro Baptist church and use the tax code as a weapon against them in response to their public protests;
- Deport Piers Morgan for his public comments;
- Outlaw Moses, Jesus, Mohammad, the Bible, the Torah, the Koran and any other religious book or prophet. [Author’s Note: In other words, remove the right to freedom of religion and start book burning.];
- Use the tax code as a weapon against religions who discuss politics;
- Deport American citizens who petitions for succession due to Governmental violation of the Constitutional restraint of powers;
We go further and find that the Government, led by Barack Obama, is demanding that wealthy people be attacked, singled out and have their money stripped through predatory taxation. Hatred of the rich and class warfare is being preached by the Government and an ever increasing mass of people is siding with them as they accept their Government handouts. This is the same tactic used by the Nazi's in Germany, and it was combined with gun control there too. Have we failed to learn the lesson of unintended consequences? Are we doomed to repeat history?
When are we going to understand that Democracy, (Mobocracy) doesn’t work? This country was based on freedom for all, not the ability of the majority to demand laws which persecute and steal from others.
Getting back to the original issue, let me be clear, I detest what Piers Morgan said and he is wrong. He should do the research and get a clue. I, however, will not call for his censure because it will do nothing but validate the loss of our freedoms if I will not diligently protect other’s, even if I disagree with the way in which they use that freedom.
Remember, freedom is the right to do as you please provided you do not violate the rights of another. Government’s sole job is to guarantee freedom. All duties of Government, from military, police, taxation, the judiciary, etcetera, were created in pursuance of that goal. Morgan has the right to speak. I have the right not to watch CNN. He doesn’t have the right to make me watch CNN and I shouldn’t have the right to suppress him. And let’s be honest here. He is being singled out as a sacrificial lamb. Plenty of other people calling for gun control are not being faced with the public and emotional attacks like this.
